he 2015 BMW X3 made its big debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The
Bavarian automaker’s hugely successful SUV will be launching in India
next month. The X3 facelift will offer an all new engine family along
with a refreshed colour palette. The 2015 facelift makes use of BMW’s
all new design philosophy that endows the SUV with coupe like
characteristics, similar to the brand’s flagship X6. Exterior changes
include a revamped front end, reworked tail, revised headlamp design and
new LED DRLs.

BMW has also introduced a 2.0 L turbocharged four cylinder engine for the X3. Similar to the one found on the 3 Series, the 2.0 L diesel mill produces 180 HP and 380 Nm of torque. The SUV will also be offered with a new trim level as well. Dubbed the sDrive28i, the new variant will be powered by the same 2.0 turbocharged diesel that produces 250 HP and 353 Nm of torque. However, power will be sent to the rear wheels as opposed to the all wheel drive system found on other models. The sDrive28i will serve as the SUV’s entry level trim. Other engine options include the range topping 3.0 L straight six engine that produces a whopping 300 HP and 407 Nm of torque.
