Honda sold 15,709 units in July, as against the 11,223 units in the
corresponding month last year. Last month, the company sold 74 units of
its small car Brio, while its Amaze and City offerings stood at 4,507
and 7,705 respectively. Beside this, it sold 58 units of its sports utility vehicle (SUV) CRV. The export of the company stood at 858 units in July, taking the grand total of vehicles sold in July to 16,567.
Honda's new Mobilio is also said to be getting good response from the market. Talking about the recently launched Mobilio, the company said it has sold 3,365 units of the MPV so far and its bookings have crossed 10,000 in the country. The company is also said to be looking at an option of exporting Mobilio to the markets like South Africa.
Launched on 23 July in India, the new Honda MPV, a Maruti Ertiga killer is offered in petrol and diesel engine option. Under the hood, the car packs 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine and 1.5 L i-VTEC petrol engine. Both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Currently, the Mobilio is offered in three trims in India (S, E, V in both petrol and diesel) and the top end variant of the MPV, Mobilio RS will be coming to India in September this year.
